NECA’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes action figures — WOW!

Let me just get this out of the way up front, these new Dawn of the Planet of the Apes figures from NECA are amazing! The sculpt and paint application on these are incredible, making these the most fun figures I have ever photographed. Check it out!

There’s nothing better than taking a photo of an action figure and not being able to tell if it’s real or a toy — these figures make that an easy task. I have already pre-ordered the NECA Planet of the Apes figures based on the original movies from the 60’s and those will be a blast to photograph. I can’t wait, but for now, I think I’m going to go take some more pictures of these guys!

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is quickly becoming my most anticipated film of the summer. I’m loving ever piece of promotional material coming out, and these NECA figures do look great. Ceasar might have to be claimed during my next toy hunt.

Those are super cool! There’s so much awesome stuff out there right now I have a hard time sticking to my guns on my collection! I have a feeling the toys based on the new “Arkham Knight” game are gonna be sweet!

Planet of the Apes seems to be my kryptonite these days. I don’t buy much new stuff, but I want everything out there that is PotA related.

Yeah – totally looking forward to this movie. The figures rock. Here is my diorama. Have another one planned for this weekend. The gorilla I picked up at AC Moore – it’s an arts and crafts shop like Michael’s or Hobby Lobby. Think the manufacturer is Papo or Safari. Will double check. The scale matches perfectly.

Oh man, those chimps would be great for army building, I’m going to have to see if I can find them. Hey George, if you’re looking for someone to go see the movie with, we should hit up the Alamo! Maybe they’ll have a monkey-themed menu. 😉

The chimps are from HIYA toys. They made the two Rise of the Planet of the Apes figures. They are well done. The gorilla was purchased at an arts and crafts store called AC Moore….similar to Hobby Lobby and Michaels.

By the way, your photos rock! Very realistic.

Will definitely need a co-pilot when seeing the movie. It’s not high on the Mrs. and daughter’s movie list. Go figure. 🙂

I don’t think I could pay my wife to go see the movie in the theater. 🙂
