I had another idea lined up for this week’s topic, but Cal at the Canadian Cave of Cool has forced my hand. A while back, Cal suggested this as a topic and went ahead and wrote his article. Well, I’m going to piggy-back on it, because it was too good to pass up! This week’s challenge for the League of Extraordinary Bloggers…
What piece of pop culture did you HATE as a kid?
This should generate some interesting debates!
SPECIAL OFFER FOR THE LEAGUE: Fellow League member, Fong Sam of Black Sparrow Auctions has put together an awesome vintage toy and pop culture auction that will be held at the upcoming C2E2 show in Chicago. Fong has graciously offered to mail any League member a printed catalog for the auction. Just email him your mailing address and let him know you’re in the League, and he’ll send you a catalog. Thanks Fong!
The League is always open to new members! Got a blog? Write a post in response to the weekly challenge, and you’ll be included. It’s that easy!
Once you put up a post on your site add a comment below with the URL. Next Monday, I will put up a post here on Cool & Collected with a list of all the contributing blogs. Once that list is posted, if you haven’t already done so, try to incorporate at least three of your fellow League members’ links (but more would be great!) into the article you wrote on your site.
By cross-posting like this, we will help each other out by sending new readers to each other’s sites. Have fun!
(Wondering what the heck this is all about? We’re recruiting for this loose-knit, rag tag crew! Here are the details for contributing to The League.)
I’m teeming with unchanneled hatred, so this assignment is right up my alley! 😉
