Hake’s Auction #213 is jam packed with amazing pop culture collectibles. Bidding will start to end on November 11, so there’s still plenty of time to devour the catalog and put in your bids. Here are a few of the items I’ll be watching closely…
Batman Glider Toy: I do love all those wonderful Batman toys. I haven’t seen one of these gliders before. It looks like Batman is cold, someone should get him a sweater.
Masters of the Universe He-Man Store Display: This thing is so great! I’m not a MOTU collector, but I am an absolute sucker for pop culture advertising items. This figural display is double sided and almost four feet tall!
Japanese Friction Batmobile: It’s not easy being a Batmobile collector. There is a seemingly endless assortment of vehicles out there, and the ones from Japan are usually the best (and most expensive!). I always enjoy items with the red-suited Batman.
Marvel Super Heroes Flexi-rings on Store Card: You know an item is pretty rare if Hake’s has never seen it before. There are only five known examples of this vintage store card known to exist, and you can bet the Marvelmania collectors will be climbing over each other to add this one to their collection.
The Great Garloo: One of these days I will add the Great Garloo to my collection. I think he would fit right in among the Shogun Warriors and the Kenner Alien.
King Kong Jigsaw Puzzle: This King Kong puzzle would be the prize of any monster collection. Being a huge fan of the lovable ape, I can only dream of having this framed on my wall someday.
“The Monster Times” Magazine Lot: Who can resist this lot of 36 Monster Times magazines? This is such a great treasure trove of movie monster history — no matter what your favorite beast may be, this lot would surely appeal to you.

As you can see, Hake’s has outdone themselves once again. This latest auction has more than enough for all of us, so there’s no need for you to bid on any of the Batman items. Seriously, just don’t even browse that section of the catalog. But if you do get something good, let me know!

It took me way longer than it should have to figure out the characters on those Marvel flex ring thingys.
