The second stop on the King Kong World Tour was with my pal, Todd Sheffer, in York, Pennsylvania. Todd has been hampered with an arm injury, so Kong’s visit was limited to work and home, but when you work and live where Todd does, that’s not a bad deal at all!
Kong got the VIP treatment at the headquarters of Hake’s Americana & Collectibles, possibly the best place on the planet to buy pop culture memorabilia.
Todd put Kong to work, cataloging the inventory for the next auction. Anybody have any nail polish remover? Kong got a little Batman glued to his hand.
I’m not sure it was a good idea to let Kong update the Hake’s Facebook page. He immediately friended all the Dwans he could find.
I’d hate to see the guy who pinned that to Kong’s chest.
Reunited, and it feels so good!
After a long day at work, Kong got to chill out with Todd’s personal collection.
York, Pennsylvania was an awesome destination for the King Kong World Tour. Thanks Todd!
Where will Kong turn up next? Find out…

Does Kong need a traveling companion? If so I’m available! Looks like a fun trip!
Brian says
Hake’s probably isn’t too far from you Rich! I wonder if they offer tours… hmm.
Kal says
That is very cool. I can imagine how great it would be to work at Hakes but they would have to strip search me everyday when I left work because things would go missing into my jumper.
Brian says
Ha, you and me both! It would be like the alcoholic bartender.

Kong is certainly going to be well travelled after all of this. : )
Brian says
I hope his passport is up to date! He might need it pretty soon. 😉
