Cool and Collected

Collecting pop culture toys, comics, and collectibles collections

This week’s assignment from the League: Shelf expression

league of extraordinary bloggers shelf expression

After an unexpected break from the internet last week, I am having a heck of at time catching up this fine Monday morning. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, but now it’s time to get back to work. This week’s challenge for the League of Extraordinary Bloggers is…

—

Post a photo of a shelf of items that displays your love for pop culture.

—

league logo Once you put up a post on your site add a comment below with the URL. Next Monday, I will put up a post here on Cool & Collected with a list of all the contributing blogs. Once that list is posted, if you haven’t already done so, try to incorporate at least three of your fellow League members’ links (but more would be great!) into the article you wrote on your site.

By cross-posting like this, we will help each other out by sending new readers to each other’s sites. Have fun!

(Wondering what the heck this is all about? We’re recruiting for this loose-knit, rag tag crew! Here are the details for joining The League.)

Oh this will be a fun one. I know Reis has an all Batman shelf that was around 80-90 figures strong when last he mentioned it. Shezcrafti with a TMNT shelf. Brian with King Kong. Underscoopfire’s collection of underwear from Japan. This is going to be a big week!

Ahh, I had to sell the massive Japanese underwear collection in the last yard sale. It went fast though! We didn’t sell it, I mean the wind was blowing like crazy and blew it all off the tables and around the neighborhood. Mr. and Mrs. McFadden were NOT impressed.

Also, fellow Leaguers take a look at these posts over at Robot 6. I’ve spent many a night going through these impressive collections.

Alas, my Batman shelf now resides in a storage bin. But I’ve got some cool stuff on my shelves here at work. I need to take a few shots.

I can set up a guest author account for you, or you can just send me your text and photos via email and I can put the post up for you. I’d love to have it, so let me know if you want to move forward. Thanks!

Funny…I sort of did a post about it by accident. In a round about way.

It IS kind of weird that I was just taking pictures of the new Geek Cave so I had plenty of pictures to choose from. I went with two different shelves (even though Jaime will yet AGAIN accuse me of cheating. I think she’s just jealous of my mad blog skills.) just because I’m in such a lather to share my pics!

Here’s mine, though it’s not what you would think. I’m not much of a displayer. Maybe someday…. http://www.infinitehollywood.com/the-league-shelf-of-pop-culture/

This assignment was the kick needed to finally organize my collection. I wrote a quick post with some pictures of the process. A further update will come tomorrow but its already 11.
