The DC Big Flea returned this weekend, and I found some fun things to add to the collection.

Several great space-themed toys showed up at the show. I had no idea what that robot was, but I loved it as soon as I saw it. It reminded me of the old Cooties game and also resembles the Micronauts toy line, but it turned out to be an “Outer Space Spider” made by Tai Fong in 1984, just as the Transformers and Go-Bots were starting to appear. It walks, its eyes blink on and off, and a tiny astronaut pops out of its chest — it’s awesome!

This space-themed bagatelle is the perfect addition to my vintage space toy collection.

I can’t resist a great monkey toy, and this little J. Chein tin litho bank was too good to pass up. I have actually tried to buy one of these on several occasions but always lost out to higher bidders, so I’m thrilled to finally have one. This dapper little chimp tips his hat to you when you deposit a coin into the slot.

Ah man – nice score on the Shogun Warrior. Fantastic.
Awesome “Cool” website and collection.
I see some organization there!
I have a couple of images of my NASA/Apollo collections, if you would like to feature them.
Man,,,,,I collect such a variety, it’s hard to pin point to anything, except maybe my Beatles collection.
