Cool and Collected

Collecting pop culture toys, comics, and collectibles collections

This is NOT how I wanted my Kotobukiya Master Chief statue to arrive

I’m a huge fan of Halo, and one of the only current toy lines I actively collect is Master Chief items from the franchise. Recently, I bought a Kotobukiya Halo 3: Field of Battle ArtFX collector’s statue on eBay, but was a little disappointed when it arrived…

It seems like the Chief was on the losing end of an Elite’s energy sword. His whole upper body was just floating freely around in the box, which was still sealed. I don’t buy many of these collector statues (I now own two), but I would hate to think this is normal.

Luckily, the only damage was to a part that would be hidden once the figure was reassembled. The figure is 10 1/4″ tall and certainly looks awesome, I just wish it looked as great in the package.

Well, it’s not exactly “fixed” but it does stay together. 😉

I bought one on ebay it it came with the exact same thing happening! I was so mad because its a very rare statue. USPS is paying for the damages since it was covered vis insurance. Fortunately I found another in a local comic store. But things have gotten way rare!
