At last weekend’s Fairfax Comic Con, I picked up this copy of the Titans: Starring Black Bolt #5. It’s a UK weekly comic that was released in 1975. The publisher experimented with a landscape format, which had two pages appear side by side, resulting in fairly small, and hard to read text.

I’m sure there’s a good reason why they printed this series sideways, but I can’t think of one. The spine only has a single staple in the middle, so I would imagine that a lot of the covers are no longer attached to their books.

The pull-out poster centerfold seems to be one of the few pieces of original art made for this format. This super wide spread is kind of cool.
I’m not a big comic collector, but I can’t resist oddball items and comics that look great on the shelf, and this one has bit of both of those traits.
