It’s amazing the licenses they’ve been able to obtain. That’s the only reason I bought some. No other company has been able to invest in making cool figures of some of these properties. I do think it’s slowing down a bit, based on what I see at Target and Gamestop. But I think they’ll be here for awhile.
Funko definitely gave the collecting community a huge boost with their ability to produce toys for the most popular and obscure properties, and we all owe them a great debt for that, but never in a million years would I have predicted that the Pops! line would have the staying power that it has had. It will be interesting to see where these stand with collectors in the future.
