Today may be the last official day of Summer 2015, but the AEIOU and Sometimes Why Summer Swap is still going strong. Some fellow bloggers have been passing around a box of goodies to each other all summer, taking what they want and adding things along the way. I had the very good fortune to be the recipient after William Bruce West, a great guy who definitely knows my taste.
I’ve known Will for a few years and I imagine he is surrounded by boxes of eBay fodder, much like myself, and the box he sent me is proof of that — this thing was bulging with pop culture goodness. He way, way overdid it, and I was thrilled with the contents.
Honestly, I don’t know how all of this stuff fit in the box.
A Hot Wheels Stripes Winnebago, OMFG M.U.S.C.L.E.-like figures, Garbage Pail Kids, Lego Batman, Choose Your Own Adventure — like I said, Will knows me too well! I can only hope to achieve half the level of excitement I felt, when I send this box along to Akron, Ohio for the next stop.
The Summer Swap mascot is none other than Dracula himself, who had a great time visiting my Bat cave.
He got the VIP tour…
… and was quite impressed with his sleeping quarters.
The highlight of his visit to DC, was gaining an audience with Pope Francis earlier today (editor’s note: this photo may be Photoshopped). His holiness was not impressed.
