Cool and Collected

Collecting pop culture toys, comics, and collectibles collections

Resolutions were made to be broken

Okay, so maybe I resolved to stop buying new toys for the new year, but come on, you know my weakness for Batman! I have stoically avoided these Lego Batman Movie mini figures until today — that didn’t take long.

So after 25 blind bags, this is what I got. Not a bad bunch at all — I love the Batman variants! I could have bought a complete set on eBay for $89, but that seems like cheating — plus my kids and wife LOVE opening the bags, so that makes it all worth it in the end. (At least that’s what I keep telling myself.)

Of course, with 25 bags, you’re going to get doubles, and triples. Who wants to trade??? These are my extras, and I’d be up for swapping one-for-one to help finish off the set. Drop me an email if I have any figures you need, and you have some duplicates that I’m missing.

These are great! I’ve fallen victim to the Loyal Subject MOTU figures. Sadly with the 13.99 price tag I can’t get behind going the blind box route and have just bought the sets off ebay. They’re super fun tho and I think I’m hooked 😉

The weird thing is that I have been buying the Lego blind bags since series one, but was never a completist. For this Batman line though, I knew that if I got one, I would need them all. sigh.

$4 is pushing the limit for me on a blind buy — $13.99 is nuts. 🙂

What? Are these $13.99 each in the States?

The MOTU figures Rich mentioned are $13.99. The Lego figures are $4.

I saw these on display in the LEGO store and they are very cool. There are only a couple calling me so I may try to pick them up loose. Although when I was in the LEGO store, I saw a dad & kid ask an employee for specific ones, the person went out back and pulled them so they must have some sorted.

Interesting. The Lego store is always a dangerous place, but I might just have to risk it! 🙂

        Tysons Mall, baby!

I work right across the street from the mall, so if you need me to swing by and get them for you (after you call and have them held of course), I can do that for you. Not sure where you work, but Chantilly may be closer to Ashburn for you than to Tysons.

Thanks Matt, but I think I’ll head to the Lego store this weekend and see if I can find one of these “helpful” employees.

I know how you love blind buys! 😉

I have actually passed on it a few times already. That one hurts.

My son ADORES Lego Batman, I admit I may be feeding his love for Legos though.
