My previous post showed you the magnificent King Kong wax packs from 1976, and today I have the actual trading cards and stickers that were inside those packs. Behold!
There are 55 cards in the set and seven stickers.
Most of the King Kong trading cards have puzzle backs that make up the John Berkey poster art shown in card #1, but 11 of the cards have movie facts on the back.

“Don’t be alarmed, ladies and gentlemen. Those chains are made of chrome steel.” All month long, I will be showing off King Kong collectibles from my personal collection in a series called KONGTOBER, so if you’re a fan of King Kong and movie monsters, I think you’re going to like what you see.
Wow, these are awesome. I love the “Witch Doctor prepares Dwan for her ordeal!” card.
As a kid, I had the movie poster on my wall. Too bad I don’t have it still, otherwise it would have been yours.
Thanks Mike! (I still do have my poster.) 😉
Awesome! Glad you opened a pack. Didn’t know they did drawings for it….I wonder if it was to sell the movie to the studio.
I think these are some of the best vintage cards I’ve seen.
I love how they re-used Kong’s face on the illustrations and just flipped it to match the picture.
I love these cards. The design is just awesome.
i have minte too, but i missed 4 card’s to fill the poster…i have repeated a lot of the other cards!
Actually there are 11 stickers in the set and 55 cards.
