If you build it, I will buy it — Field of Dreams VW Van

Guys, how come nobody told me about this?

I have a new favorite thing. Having been on the pop culture die-cast vehicle bandwagon for a while now, stumbling upon this  Greenlight Hollywood Series 1973 Volkswagen Type 2 Vanwas a serious “OMG” moment for me — I’m a 40+ year-old dude, so for me to use OMG in a sentence means something. Field of Dreams is at the very top of my list of favorite movies of all time, and holding this little red hunk of metal and rubber in my hand gives me a bit of a thrill — never have I wanted to kidnap someone and take them to a ball game more than I do today.

The detail on the Greenlight vehicles is superb, down to the tiny bumper stickers that you can’t even read without a magnifying glass. How can you not think of Ray Kinsella and Terence Mann riving down the road and stopping to pick up the young axe murdering hitchhiker Moonlight Graham when you see this toy? Field of Dreams is a not really a movie that you expect to have a line of toys produced, so never in my wildest dreams would have imagined seeing this on store shelves.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you stumble upon an item that you never knew even existed, but it’s like it was made for you? This was one of those times, and it absolutely made my day.

Huh, I’d never have guessed that this would have been a thing that was actually produced, but it’s cool that it was. Nice find.
