Last week’s inaugural Friday Face-Off!was a lot of fun — we talked about Funko Pop! figures. Let’s see if we can keep the ball rolling with this week’s topic. Please no biting, kicking, or hitting below the belt — let’s keep things civil.
Halloween is just around the corner, so…
You can only collect one — which is the movie monster for you?
Classic or current, which movie monster has the best collectibles? Add your comments below.

I’ll kick off the discussion with my choice, which is probably obvious to readers of the site: King Kong! There are sooo many incredible items to collect based on this character. The King has been around for almost a century, so he’s had a bit of a head start on my second favorite movie monster to collect — the Alien Xenomorph.
Way back in 2012, I showed my love with a whole month of blog posts dedicated to the big ape: Kongtober! Check it out here: https://www.coolandcollected.com/?s=kongtober

For me it would be a close fight between Godzilla and Creature from the Black Lagoon… In the end though Godzilla would end up stepping on poor little Gill-Man and turn him into a Lagoon Slime puddle…

Thats a hard one ,I guess its a toss up between Creature from the Black Lagoon or Aliens. When it come to preexisting collections I have way more Creature stuff so I guess Creature would win out in the end.

Saw that coming. : )
GI Jigsaw says
If it had to be classic, it would be Godzilla.
But BrotherMidnight reminded me of the all time greatest movie monster….ever…..Aliens.

I love a good Godzilla collection!

I would have said King Kong. Skull Island proved you can do something fresh with that character but it would be hard to top. Maybe Aliens but with no human characters! That would work right?
Brian says
Yes! Skull Island had some great new toys, and I hope we get even more as the franchise continues. A Godzilla vs. King Kong set is long overdue.

I love both Kong and Godzilla but neither are easy on the pockets, making them not so easy to collect. This has to do mostly with their scale.Collecting mini Kongs and Zillas to me defeats the purpose, although, most look pretty cool..Both have the coolest collectibles as far as movie monsters go
