Cool and Collected

Collecting pop culture toys, comics, and collectibles collections

Field Trip: Collectors Marketplace — Phoenix, AZ

I can honestly say that there is nothing like this place within a 50-mile radius of my home here in Virginia. Collectors Marketplace in Phoenix, Arizona carries an incredible variety of awesome toys, comics, and collectibles. My pal, Grey Endres, recently visited the shop while on a business trip and he snapped some photos and interviewed some of the vendors who sell their items there. This is one place I definitely want to visit! Check out the full article here.

How in the world have I never heard of this?? A new toy store in my own backyard!

I’ve driven through that intersection tons of times. I guess I just haven’t been down that way, since they setup in that location back in March.

I will definitely be checking this out.

Another place to add to your list if you ever visit – Toy Anxiety : http://www.toyanxiety.com/

It’s fairly similar to this. Tons of awesome old and new toys. Been around for at least 20 years. You can even checkout the inside of the store here –> https://plus.google.com/115934587543047835720/about?hl=en&gl=us

The closest stores to that one that I know about in the Virginia area are Stories in Richmond (the Forest Hill location is the best one, although the stock is a bit antiquated) and The Toy Exchange up in Maryland. They might be worth a day trip for you.

Thanks Nathan! I’ve been to the Toy Exchange before and it is definitely worth the trip, but Stories is new to me — gonna have to check that one out next time I head south!
