Bill Cooper lives in Vancouver, B.C., and has been collecting “frisbees” since the late 70’s. Bill currently has 7,280 frisbees, and his collection is growing every day. He is no stranger to eBay, which has facilitated over 475 transactions for his flying toy habit.
Bill’s collecting areas are primarily focused on topics such as alcohol (175), McDonald’s (80+), Coca-Cola (80+), Hawaii (55+), minis (940+), pop-ups (120+), inflatables (50+), electronic (lights / sound) (50+), rings (100+), and foam (100+). Bill has realized that he has too many frisbees, and is in the process of selling off a large part of his collection to make room for even more discs, so if you’re looking for anything in particular, you should drop him an email.
Bill’s collecting pursuit began after playing disc at a friend’s house in the 70’s. While taking a break, he was amazed at all the different discs they used that day. The variety of designs and shapes appealed to him. Soon after that, he was working a warehouse job and found a Cocoa Puffs mini — not the first, but one of the first 25 for sure — and he was hooked.
Bill’s collection is massive, but he still is on the hunt for his personal holy grail, an I love NY frisbee, so if you have one of those in your collection, I think I know someone who might be interested.
In addition to frisbees, Bill also collects triangle shaped ashtrays, square shot glasses, beer pints, and Jimi Hendrix postcards, among other things.
