I went to an auction this weekend and ended up with a carload of action figures and LEGOs. I’m not an action figure collector (unless it’s really cool, or Batman) but I tend to buy things that I know I can sell on eBay to replenish my PayPal account. Only one other person was even bidding on these and after losing a few lots, she stopped trying, so I think I did alright.
Now, I want to ask you action figure gurus out there: did I get anything good? I’m just curious if I lucked into an ultra-rare figure, or if I’ll be lucky to make my money back. I know there are some crappy Dick Tracy figures, a few GI Joe and Spawn figures, and a bunch of Marvel and DC figures, some of which are pretty nice. I really like that Mysterio figure and those elongated Batman villains, and I have a strange fondness for that Blue Falcon and Dynomutt.
So, what do you think? Trash or treasure? If you see something that would help you fill out your collection, let me know and I’ll make you a good deal.
I was hoping one of those was Hulks was an Elastic Hulk. Now that would’ve been a score.

I’ve been wanting to replace the one my grandma had at her house when I was a kid.
That truly would have been the ultimate score, but alas, most of these figures are fairly recent. I had a Stretch Armstrong when I was a kid but curiosity got the better of me, and I learned that Stretch was no match for a sharp pair of scissors. I just had to know what made him so stretchy!
Those elastic figures are incredibly hard to find these days especially with their original packaging. Good luck and happy hunting!
I think the Union Jack figure in the picture is the exclusive offered by ToyFare in the mid- to late 1990s. I don’t know if it is particularly valuable because of that, particularly as he appears to be missing his figures. The Quick Kick is probably good for a few bucks. The DC Direct Alan Scott Green Lantern (with the cape) may fetch decent coin too, as may the Madman figure.
I love seeing the Falcon and Dyno-Mutt.
Thanks, Colin! I really like that Green Lantern figure, so that one may find its way into my “permanent collection.”
It’s a good figure, for sure. I love going through big collections like this and finding the hidden gems (or Jems depending on the situation). Ha!
Wow, that is quite a haul! A lot of Marvel figures there…
Nice Haul! Dick Tracy’s.. South Park’s.. an Ultimate Warrior… even an Underdog and Dynomutt! Woo Hoo!
DO YOU HAVE ANY 3.75 MARVEL ACTION FIGUERS.?
If you look closely, there’s the X-Men Origins: Wolverine Maverick figure, the Iron Man 2 Deep Dive Armor figure, a Marvel Universe Hand Ninja, and three figures (Cyclops, Wolverine and Colossus) from the Wolverine and the X-Men toy series.
Want to part with that Blue Falcon and Dynomutt? I am looking to finish that collection. What do you think?
Sorry, but those guys were sold off a while ago.
I would love to do business with you. Please contact me if you still have these figures or able to get more. Thanks.
