As someone who runs several blogs, this is pretty big news. It looks like the world’s biggest stock photo company is giving up the battle and following the trail that Youtube blazed, and will now offer up their images for embedding for free. This is HUGE — unless you make a living as a photographer — then this sucks.
For example, now if I want to show you a picture of Boba Fett playing baseball, I can do so without the fear of lawyers bombarding my inbox.
I can also show you pictures of dogs dressed up as Batman driving down the sidewalk — without being a paying member of the Associated Press.
Is this a great country or what?
