I truly believe that the only time you get a good deal on eBay is when the seller screws up. I’ve watched many of these Batman wristwatch flashlights come and go on eBay over the years — they usually sell for $30+. I recently stumbled upon an auction listing for two flashlights. The title of the auction was “Vintage Batman & Robin (The Boy Wonder) 2 piece set,” and it was listed in the “Comic Books” category rather than “Toys.” This auction surely would have attracted more attention if the title mentioned the fact that they were selling flashlights from 1966 produced by the National Periodicals Publications.
I am happy to have added both of these flashlights to my collection for less than $10.
These flashlights are extremely hard to find on their original cards, and if you’re lucky enough to find them, they could set you back hundreds of dollars.

What a score! I agree that a seller screw up is the only way to get a deal. My last few scores have been the result of this or the make an offer feature. I recently found a loose 12″ Remco Frankenstein listed as “Herman Munster Doll.” Though I feel a little guilty about that one.

You’ll get over the guilt. 😉
