Yabba Dabba Dooooo! The Flintstones Turn 50

I used to watch the Flintstones everyday after school. Those were the days where we had six channels, so whichever channel was showing cartoons, was the one we watched. I’m not sure if I was a kid today and had 256 other channels to surf, that I would stop on the Flintstones, but you never know. I’ve seen some of the stuff on the kids’ networks today, and trust me, those Wiggles are downright creepy. For me, the best thing to come out of the Flintstones was Fruity Pebbles.

I know there are Flintstones collectors out there, so I thought I would head over to eBay and see what kind of Flintstones memorabilia is out there. Here are some items that I would definitely put on my shelf…

Flintstones Linemar Fred on a Dinosaur Flintstone Pals, Fred on Dino, Linemar, 1962

Flintstones flivver Marx toy Flintstone Flivver by Marx Toys, 1962

Flintstones Marx toy Fred on a dinosaur Fred Flintstone on Dino 1968

Flintstones Dinosaur peak NES video game The Flintstones: Surprise At Dinosaur Peak! NTSC NES A

I find it interesting that the most expensive and most bid on item shown above is the Nintendo game cartridge, which came out in 1994. I would imagine the winning bidder will be a video game collector rather than a Flintstones collector, but who knows? Any Flintstones collectors out there? What is the gem of your collection? What is your holy grail?

I hope you get this, I mean it has been a while. But the Flintstones NES game was only released to BlockBuster Video, and not a lot of them were sold.
