Thomas Atkinson looks like Qui-Gon and has more than 13,000 Star Wars items in his collection. Check it out:
I caught this on the local news last night and you can just hear the anchor starting to laugh at the end of the clip. He then throws in a quick snipe at the guy before they cut to commercial. Is it possible for the media to report on a fan or a collector without mocking him? (Of course, some totally deserve it.)

Dusty indeed. I can understand the chore it might be to clean a collection that size but did you see the brush he was using? Seemed a little hard to be cleaning with.
Brian says
Yeah, that was no feather duster!

Nice! Always cool seeing others collections!
I’ve never dusted with a paintbrush though, but if it works…maybe a softer brush would work better
Funny how it’s OK to mock toy collectors but no one ever makes fun of the guy with a room full of sports jerseys…

Agreed. I think this guy has an amazing collection — way more interesting than a bunch of LeBron James bobbleheads.

Greetings! I’m the collector in question here. Thanks for posting the video! The bit of me dusting was quickly staged; I do use that brush for dust that gets in the tiny crevices of things, but for that landspeeder, I’d be more inclined to use a cloth. Didn’t have one handy.
The news anchor could have been a lot worse. I was very happy with the reporter and cameraman who came to visit, and I thought the finished story was really very nice. I have seen a spike in visitors since this was broadcast — probably due to folks sharing the link to the online video. We live in the future!
Thanks again!

Hey Thomas, thanks for stopping by! You have an incredible collection. I only mentioned the dust because the report seemed to focus on it 😉 You can dust it with a leaf blower for all I care, I was just enthralled by all your great stuff.
I didn’t know you had a site until your comment, so I’ll give it a plug now…
