The latest Big Toy Auction is happening tomorrow (May 14) at 3:00pm. This weekend’s auction has all kinds of great items from Mattel’s Masters of the Universe, Ghostbuster, and DC lines, along with some items for the G.I. Joe and Transformers collector.
I have had some great success at the previous Big Toy Auctions, and there are always some amazing bargains to be had. You can pre-bid and go enjoy your Saturday afternoon, but if you want the steals, you should tune in to the live auction (with audio) and pounce on the deals in real-time. This is a first-class auction company that finally gives collectors what they want, so check it out and let me know if you get something cool!

I’m actually the high bidder on Trypticon =)
Thanks for the heads up!

Whoops. Sorry Russ! That was actually the one item that really caught my eye. 😉
Russell says
Did you bid on it? I ended up winning. I don’t think there were ANY other bidders actually.
Thanks for telling us about this site. It’s great! Trypticon for $30 was a steal and a half.

Glad you got it Russ! I was listening in but didn’t bid on anything this time. Those three G1 Transformers were very tempting though. I think the other two went for $10. Did you just pre-bid or did you listen in too?

I registered for an account the last time you wrote an article about the auctions and the GI Joe stuff, but I didn’t read the article until the auction was over. I subscribed to their email newsletter and got an email a couple weeks ago about this auction and I put my CC in at that time and bid on Trypticon. On Saturday I actually went to raise my bid but their site was glitching out big time. I have the latest JAVA installed and I got errors on their site saying that my version was incompatible and that prevented me from raising my bid. No one else bid on Trypticon to my knowledge (I still haven’t totally figured out how it works, since it’s so different from eBay) and I won it by default I think.
Thanks for the heads up about this auction service. It’s really cool although a bit glitchy.

That’s too bad about the site not working for you, but at least you won the item! The bidding seemed to be mostly prebids, so who knows, maybe others were having problems too. I think there have only been a few of these auctions so far, so maybe they are still working out some of the bugs. I was able to bid without a problem at the last one. It’s certainly different from bidding on eBay, and it’s way more exciting when it works!

Trypticon came today. He’s awesome.
Brian says
Awesome. I see there’s another one up for bid in the next auction. You could start building an army!
