“Oh, you better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout…” or zombie Santa Claws will crawl through your window searching for BRRRAAAAIIINNNNS!
I picked up a few packs of the elusive Christmas S.L.U.G. zombies over the weekend and thought that it might be fun to give Santa a paint job.
It’s been many, many years since I sat around on a Saturday afternoon painting D&D figures, but it all came back to me once I brushed on that first bit of color.
These S.L.U.G. zombies are really great looking figures in their bright green and pink, but I’m a sucker for painted miniatures.
“…Santa Claws is coming to town!”

Check out what some of my fellow League members have cooking for their geeky Christmas!
The Goodwill Geek says
That is amazing! Pop a little hook-eye in the top of his head, run some string through, and you have a zombie ornament!
Brian says
Great idea!
Rondal says
Christmas S.L.U.G.S.?! There is a Santa Claus! …and he’s decaying something fierce!
Brian says
It’s a Christmas miracle! I’m not sure, but Target might be the only store carrying the Christmas SLUGs. There are four different Christmas 3-packs.
Shawn Robare says
Where, in the Christmas section or by the toys? I must have these!
Brian says
I found them lumped in with the regular issues on the toy shelf pegs.
Dex (@Dex1138) says
Everyone I’ve talked to has found them in with the regular SLUGs as well.
Shawn Robare says
Have you guys seen series 4 yet? I haven’t seen either those or the Christmas ones. The hunt is on!
Brian says
I haven’t been looking since I haven’t been collecting these figures, but the Christmas ones sucked me in.
Dex (@Dex1138) says
I’ve seen series 4 at one store that had the Xmas ones and another that didn’t.
Rich says
I’m 30 years old and that’s creeping me out! Christmas Eve butterflies for an entirely different reason!
“I thought you just ate cookies and milk!”
Brian says
Ha! How has this Santa not been the main character in a movie yet?
Rich says
Out of curiosity I googled these slugs. I didn’t know you painted this dude from scratch! Wow very awesome!
Jason says
He looks fantastic Brian! I never knew they made Christmas S.L.U.G.s. I don’t have any yet, so this may be a good place to start!
Brian says
Thanks Jason! I went looking for the Santa pack and got the last one, but I left a few of the others on the pegs.
3B says
Very cool… And disturbing.
Reis O'Brien says
This is beyond awesome! I have managed to avoid collecting any of the S.L.U.G. figures, but these Christmas ones may have to be mine. Damn you, Brian, for tempting me!
You paint work is amazing! Now I want to DM a Christmas themed D&D game with him as the main bad dude. 😉

Old Saint Nick never looked deader lol. Great job on this one Brian. : )

Nice. I didn’t know about the Christmas packs until I found 2 of the 4 @ Target the other day…on clearance for $1.75!
Brian says
Nice! I think I paid $2.99 per pack over the weekend.
Scarecroodle says
Very nice work. The color use really makes the sculpting pop.
Just learned about this Christmas series today when I found them at my local Target. Envy you guys, tbh, since the packs are $3.99 in my area.
Brian says
Ours were marked 3.99 on the shelf but rang up for 2.99. I’ll take it!
