If you find yourself traveling the mid Coast of Maine, be sure to stop in Waldoboro and visit Fawcett’s Antique Toy Museum. The museum has an impressive collection of Lone Ranger items, including many original paintings and drawings used in the comic books and newspaper comic strips. The museum’s proprietor, John Fawcett, even has the original Lone Ranger pistols used by Brace Beemer, who portrayed the masked hero in the radio series from 1941 to the mid 50s. You can read how Mr. Fawcett came to acquire the pistols on his site.
Fawcett’s Antique Toy Museum is located on Route one, 3 miles northeast of Moody’s Diner in Waldoboro, Maine. Additional information can be found on their website.
