Halloween can not come soon enough

A quick run to Target and Wal-Mart led to some early Halloween finds for my annual look at Halloween food packaging. More on this later…

Nice 2012 Halloween Crunch! I wish they’d go back to making the Cap’n dress up like monsters (The Mummy and Werewolf of past years were great and I really wanted to see a Creature from the Black Lagoon variation…), but I’ll take what I can get. I presume you found that at Wal-Mart?

Yep, the Cap’n was discovered at Wal-Mart and the rest was Target.

I found that figure in the halloween candy section of all places. They had a small selection of toys and those Batman figures were in the mix. I saw those lego Ghost sets too but didn’t pick one up. I’ll probably get one eventually.

Nice to see classic Halloween Oreos hiding in the back there.

I still love you, my little orange darlings! Don’t worry, those fancy Candy Corn Oreos will disappear as soon as everyone comes to their senses and realizes they suck, then you can get back to reigning supreme as the definitive store-bought Halloween cookie.

I do love that blue package design on the “regular” Oreos, but those candy corn Oreos are DELICIOUS.

    Nice, I want that Crunch!

I saw that Batman at Target and almost got it. Is he articulated at all?

I haven’t cracked it open yet, but it looks like his hips and shoulders will move.

My Target still does not fully have Halloween stuff out. It’s frustrating! There are stores with Christmas merch already out. Why should those of us who love ghosties and ghoulies have such a short season? It’s discrimination, I tells ya!

(I’m probably suffering from a Frankenberry deficiency. I need to go lie down.) 🙂

Did you happen to see the blank vinyl Halloween figures from Color Blanks? My kids and I need to get a few.
