The original Friday the 13th movie was the first true horror movie I ever saw and it has lodged itself in some dark corner of my brain ever since. When I was in high school, I went through a phase where I wanted to grow up and be an FX makeup artist so I could scare the crap out of kids just like Tom Savini did to me. Once I learned how much a makeup artist made, I decided it wasn’t for me, and now I run a blog that nobody reads. Woot!
There have been many Friday the 13th sequels (too many) but the original will always hold a place in my still-beating heart. Here are my top ten favorite posters from the series in order.

I always show preference to posters that tell a story a la Drew Struzan. So, this might not be the greatest poster ever, but I would definitely hang it on the wall before any of the others. What do you think? Tell me how wrong I am.
Fun post, I didn’t even realize it was Friday the 13th. This calls for a horror movie marathon! Jason was never my favorite slasher, though. I prefer Freddy and the Michael Meyers of the original movie…
Nice list, I’m more of a minimalist when it comes to posters, so 9 or 10 would be my preference
