Frank Frazetta and Frank Miller art sales break records

The market for comic books and original comic book art is booming. Case in point, the original 1955 Frank Frazetta illustration for Weird Science-Fantasy #29 recently sold for $380,000, which makes it the most expensive piece of comic book art on record.

This illustration by Frank Miller was for the cover of Daredevil #188 and sold at Heritage Auction Galleries for $101,575, which makes it the most expensive piece of comic art produced in the 80’s.
