My work often tends to veer towards darker themes, so when I was presented with the chance to pay tribute to Romero’s classic, I jumped at the opportunity. Conceptually, I wanted to do something different, something that wouldn’t be obviously apparent upon first glance. I arranged the composition in a way that the characters worked together to create the shape of a skull, the symbol of death. It took time to get just right, but in the end the result is just as I had visualized.

Just a heads up in case you are not aware but the MMM:LA is going on now. Lastnights movies were 28 Days Later & Hellraiser. I was at the Hellraiser showing and had a blast. Who knows what movie goodness will be shown tonight.
Hey Frank – You just prompted me to hit expressobeans.com to check out these posters. Bertmer’s Hellraiser would look great next to the Swamp Thing, but I really like the poster for 28 Days Later by the Walking Dead’s Charlie Adlard.
So lastnight was The Iron Giant & John Carpenters Assault on Precinct 13. I wasn’t there lastnight and was bummed I missed out on The Iron Giant. I will be at both shows tonight and will keep you posted.
