Captain America movie posters — Mondo’s Olly Moss, Tyler Stout, and Eric Tan enlist

Captain America: The First Avenger will debut this weekend and this movie has really stepped it up in regards to their movie posters. The posters for this movie just keep coming and they get better and better. Earlier this week, Mondo entered the ring and unveiled posters by three of their top artists which will be sold online and at ComicCon. I hope Hollywood takes notice of the creativity and talent put into this film’s posters, and put that kind of effort into future releases.

The studio has put out some pretty good looking posters…

I really like this international release poster. It reminds me of the old compositional montages of 80’s action flicks….

I think this is a fan-made poster, but it’s pretty darn good…

This poster was made as a gift for some of the movie bigwigs, and recalls the style of the 50’s movie serials. Needless to say, I love it!

This week, Mondo released images of their posters, which totally blew my mind as usual. Here is Tyler Stout’s take on the First Avenger…

…and Olly Moss has a couple of amazing designs reminiscent of WWII propaganda posters…

… and Eric Tan has two bold designs as well…

I want every single one of these posters hanging in my cave. My wallet  and my walls are nowhere near large enough.

YES!!!!!!!!! These are amazing and when i saw them yesterday my jaw dropped. The Stout Cap you have up is the variant which i like much more than the regular. Being the greedy poster collector that i am i want them all lol but i know that will never happen, at least not at retail price. This is the second SDCC in a row that i’ve missed and i am really kicking myself for not trying to get tickets. Hopefully these will be sold on the site at some point and will not be just an SDCC drop.

It’s so hard to pick a favorite but I think Stout’s would top my list. It sounds like Mondo will be selling some of these at SDCC but some will be sold on the site as well. Good luck getting one though. sigh.

I went and saw a midnight show of Cap and it was just ok. I still think Iron Man and Spider-Man are the 2 best Marvel flicks. I’m also gonna go down to sdcc today and try to score a ticket so i can get the moss and stout posters.

Good luck, Frank! I saw that Planet of the Apes poster yesterday and then heard about Mondo’s deal to do Conan posters. Those guys are just hitting all the right notes for me. Let me know if you get anything good today. Needless to say, I am very jealous. 😉

Well i did make it down to sdcc but i ended up having to wait nearly 5 hours to get a ticket. Needless to say i missed the Moss drops which sold out in 24 minutes btw. The Stouts were an online only deal so needless to say i was feeling like it was a wasted trip but just when i thought all was lost i did manage to score a Star Trek: The Motion Picture print from Daniel Danger which i am happy about. While i was in line i saw a buddy of mine who i had met at the Olly Moss show and we were chatting about stuff but anyways saturday rolls around i see all the new drops and was kinda disappointed that i was going to miss out on the Invisible man and Cowboys & Aliens. I get a pm from him and he scored them for me, i was in shock.

It pays to have friends with connections! Sorry to hear about the 5 hour wait, but at least you got some good stuff in the end. I totally blew it with the Stout prints on Friday and missed the tweet entirely. My bank account may be happier for it, but I’m still bummed.

Where can you buy the movie trailer posters? I can only find the one where he’s looking down at the shield.

You can find just about all of these on eBay. If you want an authentic movie poster and not a reprint, make sure the dealer is reputable and states that to be the fact. Ricksmovie.com is a pretty good place to get authentic posters of recent releases.
