Batmobiles as far as the eye can see

“Just when I thought I was out…they pull me back in!”

While doing some back to school shopping for the kiddos the other day, I wandered into the toy aisles and was confronted with Batmobiles as far as the eye could see–and many of them were on clearance. Well, what’s a guy to do?

I really don’t buy very many new toys, and I certainly don’t collect Hot Wheels, but these were too tempting.

The end cap was filled with larger 1/50 scale Batmobiles on clearance for $3.99. I may be in the minority, but I’ve always loved the 1940’s Batmobile, I just wish this one was in the regular Hot Wheels scale.

DAMN I still haven’t seen those two 1/50 Batmobiles anywhere and here you find them on clearance! Mattel strikes again!

    Nice score! 🙂

They had plenty of those Penguin Rubber Ducky cars and one shielded Batmobile that looked beat up–I couldn’t tell if that was intentional or not, it looked like a flaw. I’d be happy to pick up any of these for you if they’re still there. Let me know.

Tell me about it…I just bought the 1940s Batmobile, the 1966 Batcopter, plus I just found the Batcycle from Hot Wheels Motorcycle line.

I think the 1/50 scale might be Target exclusives? That’s the only place I’ve seen them.

One of my Targets had the Adventure Time 3″ figs on clearance th first time I saw them. Then about a month ago, they got new shipments in and they went to full price.

I have been buying up those Hot Wheels Batmobiles as I come across them. I love, love, love the 1940’s Batmobile almost as much as the 1966 Batmobile.

I need to snag a few more Batmobiles and I’m done. I bought the Tumbler the other day after seeing Dark Knight Rises on IMAX. Not my favorite incarnation of the Batmobile, but I had to have it for my fleet.

I just need ideas on how to display these pieces.

They are at HEB in Texas as well. I didn´t get any as my cart was full with other things but they were there. Not Target exclusives.

Johnny Lightning produced a 1940’s Batmobile in proper scale a few years back

What a score Brian! Like you, I am not big on Hot Wheels, but the Batman TV series versions sucked me. I haven’t seen any other Bat vehicles lately. Glad to see you found The Bat.

I was lucky to find the Bat, since an enterprising scalper (?) had hidden it behind a stack of Matchbox cars on another shelf. 😉
