I can’t get enough of these bubble-headed astronauts. There’s a lesson to be learned here — the next time you are abducted by a UFO, just plop a fishbowl over your cranium and you are ready to take on any alien atmosphere.
These space men used to appear on just about anything that was marketed to kids. You can still find these guys on products today, but you’ll have look a little harder. You’ll increase your chances greatly if look in the vintage sci-fi section of your local used bookstore.
I have collected so many different things that I thought it would be fun to try and photograph a collection a day and see how far I can get.
I’m with you, I also really like this time period of sci-fi. I like all the spacesuit designs they came up with in the 50’s
