A Collection a Day #11 – Batman soap and shampoo bottles, originally uploaded by Cool and Collected.
Who knew that the Dark Knight was such a clean guy? Batman’s mug has been applied to just about everything in the last 40 years. I have collected these shampoo and liquid soap dispensers for a while and there are a lot more out there that I’m still looking for. The Avon Soaky bottle in the back is the oldest bottle here, produced in the 70’s.
One of the things I really enjoy about collecting Batman paraphernalia is that he has changed throughout the years. The Batman of the Adam West 1960’s is very different from the animated series Batman or the Dark Knight of today, and you can clearly see that in the small sample pictured here.
I have collected so many different things that I thought it would be fun to try and photograph a collection a day and see how far I can get.
