Action figures that never were

Last week, a tweet came across my screen from @ICollectStuff about some custom action figures on eBay. I clicked through and couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

Custom action figures are not uncommon, but this seller was offering action figures that were never actually produced. This customizer even goes the extra mile and designs the backing cards, and then seals the figures in a blister, just like the action figures you would find on the pegs at the store. These are incredible! Check this out…

custom action figure: Dar from Beastmaster

Did you know I have an unhealthy obsession for Beastmaster? This Dar figure needs to be added to my collection.

custom action figure: call of duty captain price

Now here is an amazing crossover figure idea. Seriously, it makes me slap my forehead and say “Why didn’t I think of that?” Captain Price from Call of Duty as a G.I. Joe member. Superb. (Oh, and there’s also a figure for Soap Mactavish!)

custom action figure: snake plissken gi joe

Okay, that Captain Price figure was good, but this one for Snake Plissken is INCREDIBLE! Just look at that card! Snake Plissken with swivel-arm battle grip? Yes. Please, yes!

custom action figure: cobra marion cobretti

Another 80’s character I have an unhealthy obsession with is this guy. Marion Cobretti working the zombie squad in Cobra.

custom action figure: lethal weapon roger murtaugh

Justin over at WeirdoToys recently featured a Roger Murtaugh lookalike figure, but here’s the “real” deal. Now, where I can find Riggs?

You can buy any of these figures, and this is just a small sample–there are plenty more! The ebay seller’s ID is popsfartberger, so go check out his work and if you buy something, I want to see some pictures!

Great Snake. I have a 1:6 custom that I never finished languishing in my garage work area still.
